Blazing their way through the standings all season long, the Baltimore Orioles have broken through to the top. After the Tampa Bay Rays got off to a historic start to the season, winning their first 13 games, the upstart Orioles have unseated them in the American League East Division for the first time in 2023. The two teams faced off Thursday night in a tight contest, but ultimately the Orioles were able to steal a 10-inning win. It is the first time Baltimore has been in sole possession of first in the division after the MLB All-Star Game since 2016.
