Baltimore Orioles second baseman Jordan Westburg staked his Club to an early lead in Monday’s contest with a hit destined for the trophy case. The 24-year-old stepped up to the plate in the top of the second inning against the Philadelphia Phillies and launched a 356-foot homer over the right-field wall. The solo shot is the first of the Mississippi State product’s career and helped his team secure a 3-2 win. Westburg was known for hitting the longball in the Minors, smashing 60 in 317 games.
