King Felix joins the Mariners' royalty. On April 11, 2016, Félix Hernández pitched a perfect game against the Tampa Bay Rays at Safeco Field, retiring all 27 batters he faced. The 6-0 victory marked the first perfect game in Mariners' history and the first in Major League Baseball since Matt Cain's in 2012. Hernández struck out 12 batters and needed just 113 pitches to complete the historic outing.
