Jose Altuve continues to etch himself into the Houston Astros history books. The second baseman cracked his 2,000th career hit in the team’s game against the Seattle Mariners on Saturday. The 33-year-old is the seventh active player with as many hits and the second active player to reach the milestone playing for just one franchise (Joey Votto – Cincinnati). In Astros history, Altuve is the third player to tally 2,000 hits and 200 homers, joining Hall-of-Famers Jeff Bagwell and Craig Biggio.
