San Francisco Giants hurler Alex Cobb shot for the moon, but still landed among the stars in the team’s game against the Cincinnati Reds. The 35-year-old right-hander tossed a one-hit complete game to secure the 6-1 victory. Needing 131 pitches Tuesday night, the complete-game outing was the sixth of Cobb’s career. He’s the third-oldest Giants pitcher to allow one or fewer hits in a complete game since at least 1901, behind Carl Hubbell on separate outings.
