It was a day of firsts for Angels fifth-ranked prospect, Kyren Paris. The 55th-overall selection in the 2019 MLB Draft recorded his first career hit and steal one day removed from his debut in the Majors. The two feats happened in the fifth inning when Paris dropped a ball into shallow right field to earn a single. Moments later, the speedster dashed to second, swiping the first stolen base of his career. “It was a special moment; one that I’ve dreamed of,” Paris said. “And for it to come true -- it’s special.”
