3,000TH STEAL OF YEAR IS THE MOST IN MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL® SINCE 2012

Remarkably, Philadelphia Phillies infielder Bryson Stott’s fourth-inning second base swipe in Friday’s game was the 3,000th stolen base recorded across MLB this season. It’s the most steals in a single campaign since 2012. Stars like Atlanta Braves Ronald Acuña Jr. and Arizona Diamondbacks Corbin Carroll have chipped into the league total with their elite base-stealing skills. Time will tell what the final number will be at the end of the regular season, but will also tell if this marks the dawn of a new era with professional base runners.
