The 25-year-old collected his only hit of the game in the third inning with a leadoff triple in Thursday’s action against the Washington Nationals. Teammate Ozzie Albies doubled to right field in the next at-bat to score Acuña Jr. from third base. With that run in the books, the Venezuela-born native recorded his 140th of the season, making him the third player in MLB history to have that many runs scored, 100+ RBI, and 50+ steals in a season. He’s the first player since Alex Rodriguez in 2007 to score 140+ runs in a season.
