The Milwaukee Brewers punched their ticket to the 2023 MLB Postseason thanks to their monster second inning in Friday's 16-1 win over the Miami Marlins. The Brewers bats drove home 12 runs, which is the second-most scored in a single frame in franchise history. Starter Corbin Burnes silenced the Miami hitters through five scoreless innings to go along with six strikeouts. With the contest nearly decided by the ninth inning, Craig Counsell elected to go with first baseman Rowdy Tellez with the unique chance to record the last outs of the game.
