It’s been a banner season for Kansas City Royals star Bobby Witt Jr. The shortstop has been a menace both at the plate and running the bags this season, and that continued Friday against the New York Yankees. In the bottom of the seventh inning, Witt launched a two-run shot over the left-field fence to extend his team’s lead, eventually giving them the win. More notably, the homer was his 30th of the season, making Witt the first player in Royals history to hit 30 home runs and steal 40 bases in a season.
