Pablo López quieted the Houston Astros bats, tossing seven scoreless innings to go along with seven strikeouts. López is the first Twins starter to throw seven or more shutout frames in a Postseason game since 2004. The 27-year-old has a 0.71 ERA through his first two Postseason starts in 2023, which is the third-lowest ERA over a two-start span in Postseason franchise history. That trails only Hall-of-Famers Walter Johnson (0.50, 1925) and Jack Morris (0.56, 1991).
