It’s been a long time since Angels fans have seen headliner Mike Trout in the leadoff spot. The three-time AL MVP Award winner set the tone early, crushing a solo home run to right-center field in the opening frame to make it 1-0. Tuesday’s game was the first occasion since the 2020 season that Trout was inserted as the table-setter for his squad. It was also his first leadoff blast since the 2012 campaign. His effort helped to grab a victory over the Baltimore Orioles, 7-4.
