Chicago Cubs number one ranked prospect, Pete Crow-Arstrong, was out to capitalize on his call-up opportunity in Thursday’s win over the Houston Astros. With the ballgame knotted at 1-1 in the sixth inning, the 22-year-old outfielder smashed a two-run, go-ahead blast to the right-field bleachers. Not only did it prove to be a pivotal moment for the Cubs eventual win, but it was Crow-Arstrong’s first career MLB hit.
