Los Angeles Dodgers hurler Yoshinobu Yamamoto flashed his top-tier control in Tuesday’s win at Dodger Stadium, 8-2. The Japanese right-hander, one inning shy of going the distance, began his outing with 19 consecutive strikes in the zone. Yamamoto became the first pitcher in Dodgers history to record such a feat since at least the 2000 season when pitch-tracking data began. The 25-year-old picked up his fourth victory of the season, putting his ERA at 1.78 over his last seven starts.
