Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman made franchise history with one swing of the bat on Tuesday evening. Bregman’s solo homer to left field in the second inning of a home matchup with the Oakland Athletics was his fifth straight at-bat with an extra-base hit over his last two games. No Astros hitter had accomplished the feat previously, and the knock proved to be pivotal in Houston’s eventual 2-1 walk-off victory in 10 innings.
