First pole

George Russell achieved his first pole position and podium finish of 2024 with an incredible driving display at the FORMULA 1 CANADIAN GRAND PRIX 2024. The British driver made an unbelievable start to the weekend by finishing in pole position on Saturday; giving him every chance in Sunday's race. Russell battled hard in the opening laps of the race to maintain the lead but despite his best efforts found himself in P4 with a few laps to go. On lap 68, Russell produced a nice overtake on Lewis Hamilton to get himself into P3. A position he held onto to secure himself and Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team a first podium finish of 2024. A fully deserved podium on a weekend where the German on they can compete for the top positions.
