Sports fans from the nation’s capital were in for a treat before the start of Sunday’s clash between the Washington Nationals and Atlanta Braves. Pro football quarterback Jayden Daniels was on hand for the ceremonial first pitch and helped to get the home crowd going at Nationals Park. The 2024 second-overall selection gave it the old college try and delivered his best pitch under pressure. It wasn’t perfect, but Daniels’ pitch arrived at home plate before an eventual 8-5 Nationals victory.
