Wins in Spain for third consecutive year
Max Verstappen won in Spain for the third consecutive year with an impressive victory at the FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA 2024. It was another successful weekend for the Dutch driver as he claimed victory at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for the third year in a row. Verstappen started the race in P2 and produced an excellent drive to win the 1,111th Grand Prix™ in Formula 1® history. The race-defining moment came on lap 3 when he completed a sensational overtake on George Russell to take the lead. A crucial part of the race that enabled him to build an early advantage. The Dutchman overcame some late pressure from a quick Lando Norris to take the win by +2.219s and secure his seventh victory of the season.
