Grant Holmes

Sunday provided an emotional ride for Atlanta Braves relief pitcher Grant Holmes in his MLB debut with his family in attendance. The 2014 MLB Draft first-round selection made his first career big-league appearance after playing 10 seasons in the Minors. Holmes found a way to take advantage of his opportunity, blowing a fastball by Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena for his first career punchout in the sixth inning. He picked up a second whiff before finishing his three frames of work.
