Cincinnati Reds hurler Carson Spiers has been aiming for his first career win since his MLB debut last September. On Monday night, he found what he’d been looking for. Spiers put together a quality start at home against the Pittsburgh Pirates, allowing three runs on seven hits and a walk over six innings. He also struck out five in the win. “Coming out of the gate tonight, getting in the zone, mixing well early, that was kind of a big thing for me to get me settled in,” said Spiers after his victory.
