Matches best-ever F1® result with P2 finish

Oscar Piastri produced an incredible driving display to secure a P2 finish at the FORMULA 1 AUSTRIAN GRAND PRIX 2024. The Australian driver qualified for the race in P7 and demonstrated some of his best driving yet to secure his joint highest finish as a Formula 1 driver. He overcame challenges from Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz throughout the race and was sat in P4 behind George Russell with 7 laps to go. However, an incident between Verstappen and Norris opened up the gap for Piastri, who finished 1.906 seconds behind Russell to claim his third P2 finish in Formula 1.
