Gavin Stone

In a game where the Los Angeles Dodgers needed length from their starter, Gavin Stone came up clutch. The LA bullpen covered 11 innings over the previous two games, and the young righty responded by twirling a four-hit shutout in the 4-0 win. It was the first such outing by a Dodgers rookie since Hyun Jin Ryu in May 2013 and the team's first since Walker Buehler in April 2022. “We really needed it after using our bullpen yesterday,” said Stone. “It was sick to get a ‘dub’ right there.”
