It was an impressive showing for Colorado Rockies hurler Germán Márquez on Sunday in their game against the New York Mets. In his 2024 season debut after recovering from Tommy John surgery, the right-hander flashed his veteran prowess. The hurler went four innings, allowing three earned runs and punching out three along the way. More notably, the Venezuelan native became the all-time Rockies strikeout leader with his whiff against slugger Pete Alonso in the second frame.
