Michael McGreevy wasted no time introducing himself to the Texas Rangers after being called up for Wednesday's game. The UC Santa Barbara graduate tossed seven controlled innings, allowing one run in the contest. McGreevy showed his stuff early, retiring 11 straight batters after allowing a first-inning hit. He's the first St. Louis Cardinals pitcher since 2018 to go seven innings in his MLB debut. “I couldn't have asked for anything better,” McGreevy said after the 10-1 victory.
