Nick Sogard

Nick Sogard was more than ready for his first action in MLB on Friday. Six seasons in the Minors, the cousin of former big-league player Eric Sogard made his debut in a huge way for the Boston Red Sox. Holding onto a 4-3 lead in the fourth inning against the Texas Rangers, the 26-year-old made his mark, driving a ball into right field to score two runs. The knock marked Sogard's first in MLB, powering his team to an eventual 11-6 win.
