Ty Madden

It’s been quite a career journey for Detroit Tigers pitcher Ty Madden, who picked up his first MLB win in Sunday’s 9-1 rout of the Oakland Athletics. Madden, who was in Double-A for a third straight year, proved enough throughout the course of the season to receive a call-up. He responded by firing five strong innings out of the bullpen, allowing one run on five hits and striking out seven. Madden will look to build off this momentum as the Tigers are back in the thick of the Postseason race.
