Julio Rodríguez proved on Friday night that he has a flair for the dramatic. With the Seattle Mariners trailing the Texas Rangers 4-2 in the bottom of the eighth inning, “J-Rod” stepped up with two outs and two runners aboard. Rodriguez turned on a 1-1 curveball, sending the pitch 419 feet into the second deck at T-Mobile Park, and the Mariners would go on to win 5-4. The dinger made Rodriguez just the second player in MLB history (Bobby Witt Jr.) with 75 homers and 75 steals in his first three seasons.
