Leave it to Kansas City Royals star Bobby Witt Jr. to steal the show in a valiant effort on Monday. Witt began his night with a third-inning grand slam. That wasn’t the highlight of his night though, recording his 200th hit of the season on an infield single two frames later. It’s the first time he has reached that many in his young career, and only the eighth occasion a Royals player has done so. Witt’s only the third in Club history to do so in his age-24 season or younger (George Brett and 1976 Willie Wilson, 1980).
