When the team needed him most, Lane Thomas delivered. With the bases loaded and the score knotted at one in Game 5 of the American League Divisional Series, the Cleveland Guardians Trade Deadline acquisition stepped to the plate. On the first pitch he saw, Thomas showed his power, launching a grand slam over the center-field wall. The shot would ignite the sold-out Progressive Field crowd and motivate his squad to a 7-3 victory. The grand slam is the sixth in Cleveland Postseason history.
