Jacob deGrom remains a strikeout machine in his 12th MLB season. In a home matchup against the Seattle Mariners, the Texas Rangers fireballer added to his historic resume by notching his 1,700th career strikeout in his 225th game. He became the fastest MLB pitcher to that many punchouts since at least 1901. deGrom’s five one-run innings helped Texas snag an 8-1 win.
