Oneil Cruz broke new MLB ground yesterday against the Milwaukee Brewers. In the bottom of the third inning, the Pittsburgh Pirates slugger scorched a pitch over the right-field wall for a homer, setting a new Statcast record for the hardest hit ball. With the blast clocking in at 122.9 MPH, it ironically topped the record he already held - a 122.4 MPH hit back in 2022.
