George Russell

George Russell claimed his first victory of the season with an impressive drive at the FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX DU CANADA 2025. The British driver started the weekend in perfect fashion as he secured pole position in Saturday’s qualifying to give himself the best chance of securing his first victory of the season. And win was exactly what Russell did, producing an incredible drive to see off Max Verstappen and become the first driver (other than Lewis Hamilton) to win in Canada for Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One™ Team. His fourth career victory and fifth podium finish of the season - already surpassing his total podiums for the whole of last season.
