Cristopher Sánchez didn’t do the visiting Texas Rangers any favors with his historic outing in a 5-3 Philadelphia win. The Phillies lefty pitched six shutout innings, adding 10 strikeouts to earn his first victory of 2026. Sánchez is just the sixth pitcher since at least 1900 to record that many punchouts, no walks, and to hurl six frames on Opening Day.
