Kansas City’s starter Stephen Kolek was nearly flawless in his first career complete game shutout with the Royals. The right-hander allowed just four hits, keeping the Seattle Mariners at bay in a 5-0 victory. The 29-year-old, who joined the Club at the 2025 MLB Trade Deadline, lowered his ERA to 2.77. “He was clearly in control,” Manager Matt Quatraro said.
