This was a day at the plate that Washington Nationals first baseman Luis García Jr. won’t soon forget. The 26-year-old got started early with a two-run blast in the opening frame off Arizona Diamondbacks starter Merrill Kelly, but that was just the beginning. García Jr. swung for the fences in the sixth inning for his first career grand slam, wrapping up a six-RBI day.
