Colorado Rockies infielder Willi Castro's monster game fueled a historic 23-9 onslaught against the Athletics. The Puerto Rican native slugged two home runs, including a grand slam, and drove in a career-high seven runs on four hits to stamp a statement effort. Prior to this contest, Castro had never recorded more than three RBI in a single game.
