Pittsburgh Pirates fans witnessed something that hasn’t happened in their team’s history in the Modern Era, thanks to Braxton Ashcraft. The tall righty tossed six innings of one-run ball and tacked on 10 strikeouts in an 11-1 rout of Seattle. Ashcraft became the first Pirates hurler since 1900 to have two starts with at least that many punchouts and no walks in a season.
