Tyler Tolbert made history with his 5-for-6 game in the Kansas City Royals 16-12 win. With his fourth-inning single, the No. 9 hitter set a Club record with hits in nine consecutive plate appearances. By game’s end, Tolbert became just the third player ever to record a knock in 12 straight plate appearances, joining Johnny Kling (1902) and Walt Dropo (1952).
