Cody Bellinger understood the assignment when he stepped into the box with the bases loaded in the opening frame. The New York Yankees slugger ripped a two-run single up the middle to give the AL a quick 2-0 lead. With the AL pitching doing its job and shutting out the NL, Bellinger became the fourth Yankees player to take home the MLB All-Star Game MVP Award.
