Right in the middle of a 23-4 Washington Nationals thrashing over the Athletics, Andrés Chaparro was the engine for the team’s outburst. The first baseman collected his big-league multi-homer game and a career-high eight RBI in the road win. Chaparro’s first longball in the contest, a 467-foot shot, was the fourth-longest by a team player in the Statcast era (since 2015).
