Kevin McGonigle added another chapter to his remarkable start with a milestone performance for the Detroit Tigers in a 7-0 win over the Angels. The rising star capped an eight-pitch at-bat with a double to right-center for the 100th hit of his career. McGonigle joined Ty Cobb as the only Tigers players age 21 or younger to reach 100 career hits in fewer than 100 games.
