Carson Benge

New York Mets rookie Carson Benge showed off his arm right away, nailing back-to-back San Diego runners at the plate in a 2-1 win. Throwing Jake Cronenworth and Manny Machado out at home, he became the first Mets outfielder with two assists to the catcher in an inning. Benge's second assist, at 103.9 mph, is the third-fastest by an outfielder under Statcast (2015).
