Team USA’s 5-1 win over Latvia on Thursday marked the start of the team’s path to gold – and a memorable beginning for a player with deep ties to the Olympic games. Brock Nelson paced the club with two goals – a fitting debut for the third-generation Olympian. Nelson is the fifth member of his family to represent Team USA – starting with his grandfather, Gord Christian, who played in the 1956 Games.
