Clayton Kershaw became the first pitcher since Jack Morris to start in back-to-back World Series Game 1s. Morris achieved the feat for the while pitching for the Twins in 1991 and the Blue Jays in 1992. Kershaw is now appearing in his second consecutive World Series for the National League Champion Dodgers.
