Chris Sale struck out 10 over six innings to become the first pitcher in Red Sox history to fan 300 batters in a season. Sale fanned the side in the sixth to reach the milestone and finished with a season-high 12 strikeouts. The left-hander allowed two runs on four hits and improved to 12-4 on the year.
