Chris Sale was nearly flawless in a 5-0 Atlanta win, hurling his longest career outing with the Braves. On the back of eight and 2/3 scoreless innings, Sale was one out away from what would have been his first complete game shutout in six years. The reigning NL Cy Young Award winner’s gem was more than enough for a series win against the New York Mets.
