ZIMMERMAN HITS FOR THE CYCLE! On July 29, Ryan Zimmerman became the first Washington National to hit for the cycle at home since 1972. The first baseman lined a first-inning single off the left-field wall, then crushed a two-run homer in the third. He added a double in the fifth and capped it off with a go-ahead RBI triple in the seventh to lead the Nats past the Marlins, 7-5.
