Chris Sale strikes out 17 over 7 innings in a 1-0 victory over the Orioles on 08-19. The Red Sox ace allowed just three hits while walking none and fanning a career-high 17 to set a new franchise record for strikeouts in a game. Sale also became the first pitcher in MLB history to record 17 strikeouts in a game without issuing a walk. The southpaw has been nearly untouchable since the All-Star break, posting a 1.37 ERA and 0.89 WHIP over his last six starts.
