Kurt Suzuki delivered a clutch two-run single in the seventh inning to break a 2-2 tie and lift the Washington Nationals to a 4-2 victory over the Miami Marlins on June 23 at Marlins Park. Suzuki's go-ahead hit came off Marlins reliever Kyle Barraclough, giving the Nationals the lead in a game they would not relinquish. The Nationals improved to 46-34 on the season with the win, while the Marlins fell to 32-50.
