The St. Louis Cardinals struck first with a devastating blow, handing the Atlanta Braves a 10-0 deficit in the top half of the first inning. The Cardinals did all of the damage without a single home run, marking the first time in Postseason history a team has scored that many runs in an inning without the long ball. The monster start to Game 5 of the NLDS was enough to bury the Braves, as the Cardinals won by a final score of 13-1.
